The DE+I Task Force cordially invites you to our virtual summer speaker series that will highlight an amazing entrepreneur, Roberto Gomez, who plays a key role within the skills trade industry.

Please join us as we hear about Roberto’s current initiatives that are making a strong impact on the underrepresented youth in Alexandria City. You will get the opportunity to ask questions on what it means to give back to your community.

Roberto Gomez is the Executive Director of Cornerstone Craftsman, an organization providing at-risk youth with the instructions, tools, and mentoring required to earn a livable wage and to have a viable career in the skilled trades. Roberto Gomez’s personal journey, from a past marked by mistakes to a present as a respected community leader, is a testament to the power of resilience, perseverance, and the belief in the potential for anyone to overcome their past and build a brighter future. Cornerstone Craftsman aims to break the cycle of generational trauma and positively affect marginalized communities through its work.
