WBC Yard Clean-up Day

Please joins us for a rewarding morning of outdoor community service work located between Tysons and Merrifield on Saturday, November 9. The elderly, veteran homeowner lives alone and is a disabled wheelchair user. He purchased the home in 1977 and in recent years has not been able to keep up with routine maintenance. WBC adopted this home as part of the April 2024 Rebuilding Together workday initiative and has continued providing support over the last several months. The homeowner previously received a code violation notice from the county for grass in excess of 12” high and running bamboo growth. WBC volunteers did major yardwork in the spring with the assistance of Ruppert Landscape, but there is additional clean-up that needs to be addressed to finish the project.
