Washington, DC — Tishman Construction, an AECOM company, announced today that John Barron has joined the firm as executive vice president and Mid-Atlantic regional manager. Mr. Barron will be responsible for overseeing business development activities as well as operations throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. A seasoned industry leader, he will focus on driving the growth of the company in new markets in addition to aggressively expanding its current market share.

With nearly 30 years of general contracting and construction management experience, Mr. Barron has expertise building robust businesses across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential and government. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for the Washington Building Congress, and he is an active member of the D.C. Building Industry Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Association of General Contractors.

Prior to joining Tishman, Mr. Barron served as president of Foulger-Pratt Contracting, LLC, where he was responsible for overall firm performance with a major emphasis on business development and strategic planning. He holds a master of business administration degree from Virginia Tech and a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia.
