Rockville, MD – Insurance Associates is excited to announce the hire of our newest associate: Edward J. Kushlis, Senior Vice President
Ed brings a wealth of insurance knowledge to Insurance Associates. He has a proven track record of helping a national broker and a regional agency grow and innovate. He will be responsible for producer hiring and training, acquisitions, and other management functions within the agency.
Ed began his career as a CPA working at Deloitte where he became an insurance industry specialist and coordinated the world-wide audit of one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage firms. Ed left to become a regional financial officer at Corroon & Black (now Willis). At Willis, Ed took on additional management responsibilities in administration and operations. He earned the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter designation, managed several operating teams, and became a specialist in the moving & storage industry. He was promoted to Regional Operating Officer of the Southeast Region, which became a top-performing business segment. In 2004, Ed became Chief Executive Officer of the Baltimore Office of Willis.
Ed left Willis at the end of 2005 to become a partner at PSA Insurance & Financial Services, a broad-based regional financial services firm. Ed led the Sales & Marketing functions at PSA and was a member of the Leadership Team. Through industry-best organic growth and the successful completion of twelve acquisitions during his eight-year tenure, Ed helped the firm triple in size and become a Business Insurance Top 100 insurance brokerage firm.

Ed lives in Rockville, Maryland with his wife Marie. They have two married daughters in the area and a son who lives and works in New York City.
