Tysons, VA – Jay Alverson joins Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Metro DC Region as a Risk Advisory Services Partner. As partner, Jay will be applying his 25 years of public accounting and internal auditing experience in a variety of industries, upholding the firm’s quality service it provides to its clients.

Jay’s primary focus is assisting clients with redesigning business processes and controls, internal control assessment and design, and establishing regulatory compliance monitoring programs. He has substantial experience establishing and leading complex global internal audit functions for Fortune 500 companies and is well-versed in comprehensive risk assessments, internal audit planning, and policy and procedure development.

Before joining Dixon Hughes Goodman, Jay served as a partner in the Ernst & Young Risk Advisory practice for eight years, where he served numerous Fortune 500 multinational companies. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Global Internal and Compliance Audit for a medical devices company, where he led a global team to identify and mitigate risks. Jay received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Auburn University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan and a Certified Internal Auditor. Jay is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
