Tysons, VA – Rick White, a Partner in Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Construction Real Estate Practice, was announced as a finalist for the SmartCEO’s CPA & ESQ Award. The award recognizes top accountants and attorneys in the Mid-Atlantic region. Awards will be presented to 
accountants, attorneys and firms that have made an outstanding impact on their clients’ businesses.
Rick is a finalist within the Industry Practice category that honors accountants whom have made an outstanding impact servicing or advising his or her clients in a specific industry by utilizing his or her expertise in that industry. The Accountant/Attorney of the Year for 2014 will be chosen from this category.

As Partner-in-Charge of DHG’s Metro DC Construction Real Estate group, Rick has developed and implemented the region’s market strategy for this practice. He focuses on building a local team of accounting and tax professionals that are dedicated to the success and growth of the firm’s capabilities, and for the benefit of the local construction industry as a whole. In addition to his leadership role, Rick serves clients as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) trusted advisor, providing audits, reviews, compilations of financial statements and tax, as well as advisory services for construction contractors and real estate entities. Rick’s success as a CPA was recognized in 2013 when he won SmartCEO’s Power Player award.
