Chantilly, VA – GORDON is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Jessie Berg, PE, to Director of DC Land Development. She will now be responsible for growing GORDON’s private sector presence within Washington, D.C. in addition to her current role as Project Manager.
Berg, 29, is the youngest GORDON employee to be promoted to Director and has been a key part of the firm’s success.
“Jessie’s entrepreneurial focus and leadership have directly led to recent successful private development projects within the District of Columbia. We are very excited to promote her to this important position to lead GORDON’s efforts in expanding our service offerings in DC,” said Bill Junda, Chief Operating Officer of GORDON.
Originally hired as an intern in 2006, Berg quickly rose to supervisory and management positions. She obtained her Professional Engineer license in June of 2014 in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia in 2016.
Berg received a Civil Engineering degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2008 where she was also involved in Alzheimer’s research fundraising and on-campus community service support and outreach.
Berg regularly attends functions hosted by the District of Columbia Building Industry Association, Washington Building Congress, NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and she is an active member on the Loudoun Chapter Council of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association.
