Rockville, MD – Forrester is honored to share that we’ve been awarded two national awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), a National Safety Merit Award and an Eagle Award for our St. Thomas' Episcopal Church project.
This is Forrester's second National Safety Award in a row, acknowledging once again our passionate commitment to safety and our team’s unwavering attention to ensuring safe jobsites every day. This commitment to safety has never been more fundamental to what we do than as we adapt to the unprecedented way the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting our work. Our team has swiftly enacted procedures and protocols to keep our project teams and subcontractor partners safe. We are doing all we can to mitigate the spread of the virus while building the healthcare facilities, churches, schools, and other projects that will impact our communities for years to come. Forrester’s commitment to excellence was fully realized in our St. Thomas' Parish project, which won an Eagle Award from ABC. The building blends modern elements with ruins from the original church, which was built in 1889 and destroyed by fire in 1970. The new church brings a modern, light-filled structure to a historic neighborhood, honoring the church’s history while celebrating its vibrant present. Discover more about why this unique building earned national recognition.
Both awards will be celebrated at ABC’s national convention in Nashville, now scheduled for August 2020. We are grateful for this recognition and dedicated to maintaining a safety culture that fosters innovation, excellence, and award-winning projects.
