Celebrating Quality Craftsmanship
The 2024 WBC Craftsmanship Awards program is officially underway! The Washington Building Congress believes that the recognition of exceptional craftsmanship is of tremendous value to the entire local construction industry. Public recognition of superior craftsmanship is deeply satisfying to the individual doing the outstanding work and encourages other tradesmen to take more pride in their work as well.
Entries will each be evaluated for aesthetics, difficulty of execution, technical excellence and quality craftsmanship. All craftsmen, whether employed on job sites, in plants, or in shops, performing work in either the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical or other general trades, are eligible for nomination. Although award nominations represent a wide range of trades and skills, they have one thing in common – they are craftsmen who treasure their trade and will never settle for anything less than the best.
2024 Craftsmanship nominations are due by the close of business on Wednesday, November 15. The Craftsmanship Awards banquet will be held early April.

January 11, 2024 – Entry Judging Day
January, 2024 – Winners Announced
February 2024 – Star Awards Judging
February 2024 – Sponsorship Cutoff
April 5, 2024 – Craftsmanship Awards Banquet
