Arlington, VA – Donohoe Construction has broken ground on Gilliam Place, a 161,330 square foot affordable housing project off of Columbia Pike in Arlington, Virginia. A ceremony was held on the evening of July 27th to commemorate the new housing project that is dedicated to better serving the Arlington community. The project teams, county officials, and representatives of the community were all in attendance.

Developed by Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) in the former site of Arlington Presbyterian Church, Gilliam Place will consist of 173 units, including 11 barrier-free units to assist and meet the needs of persons with disabilities.

KGD Architecture has designed the building to achieve EarthCraft Platinum certification featuring amenity spaces such as, 8,500 square feet of retail/civic use space, a courtyard and 3 levels of below grade parking.

Gilliam Place is scheduled to reach substantial completion in the spring of 2019.
