WBC Data Center Overview Program was held on March 3, 2015 at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel in Tysons Corner, VA.

The Northern Virginia Data Center sector is one of the top five markets in the U.S. along with New York / New Jersey, San Francisco, Dallas and Los Angeles. Program panelists discussed what makes Loudoun County such a consistent mecca for Data Center growth and what type of clients and end users want to be here. The panel also provided an overview of the different types of Data Centers, including Colocation, Enterprise and mixed use, along with the different type of construction aspects that go into building one of the many world-class Data Centers in our region.

Boost visibility of your sustainable site and support the USGBC-NCR chapter by applying to be a featured stop on one of the Greenbuild 2015 tours!

On November 18-20, 2015, the USGBC-NCR and Washington, DC will host the 2015 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated solely to green building. This event is expected to bring over 30,000 sustainability leaders and advocates to our region.  (Learn more here)

To highlight the National Capital Region’s influential leadership in sustainability, the Greenbuild Host Committee is soliciting applications for sustainable projects and efforts in the USGBC-NCR region to become a part of many full and half day tours.

Applications are welcome from any and all sustainable efforts which may be visited in the USGBC-NCR area. It is important to note that tour sites are not required to be a building, or to be LEED certified.

Deadlines:
Questions submitted by – February 2, 2015.  – Submit questions by email to toursrfp@usgbcncr.org.  Answers to questions will be provided no later than the week of February 9th on the USGBC-NCR Greenbuild 2015 Tours webpage.

Washington, DC – WBC members and friends were treated to a first-class Holiday Party evening at picturesque Congressional Country Club on Tuesday December 9.   With a beautiful dusting of snow on the fairways, combined with unusually favorable driving conditions, the near capacity crowd surrounded themselves with great industry friends and colleagues.
