Fairfax, VA – Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has recently hired Joseph Wells, AIA, as office director of the firm’s architectural practice in Fairfax, Virginia. Wells will be responsible for all facets of operations, staff development, and client management.
With more than 30 years of experience, Wells’ portfolio includes significant justice, education, and science and technology projects in both the public and private sectors. A representative list of clients includes the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Smithsonian Institution, U.S. General Services Administration, Architect of the Capitol, National Guard Bureau, and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).

Wells holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Virginia Center for Architecture, National Trust for Historic Preservation, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Society of American Military Engineers, and the Virginia Tech Caldwell Society.
