Silver Spring, MD — A topping out celebration was held today by Donohoe Construction Company to mark a significant milestone as The Bonifant reached its maximum height of eleven stories.
Located in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, within blocks from Metro, retail, grocery stores and the new Silver Spring Library, the high-rise residential apartment building was developed as an innovative partnership between Donohoe Development Company and Montgomery Housing Partnership. VOA Associates designed the building with 149 age-restricted units, a multi-purpose community room, living room, Cyber Café, fitness center and an outdoor terrace with green space. This $44 million mixed-use project also includes 6,300 square feet of retail space.
The Bonifant broke ground in June 2014 and is expected to reach substantial completion in early 2016.
