Arlington, VA – GHT Limited (GHT), a leading DC metro area mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm, welcomes Derek Gallardo, LEED AP as Director of Business Development.
Gallardo has 23 years of experience in the built environment, beginning his career in electrical engineering and project management, and most recently focusing on business development and strategic growth initiatives. He was previously employed with GHT in a technical role, and is returning to lead the firm’s efforts to maintain and grow client relationships and expand into new markets.

Most recently, Gallardo was Director of Business Development for Corporate Interiors at HITT Contracting. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Derek is a Co-Chair of the District of Columbia Electrical Code Subcommittee; Board Member of the Spanish Education Development (SED) Center and Jubilee Support Alliance for Jubilee Housing; Immediate Past President of the Community Corporation Board for the DC Building Industry Association (DCBIA); member of the DCBIA Community Improvement Day committee, CoreNet Education Committee, and Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association (CREBA); and has served as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Real Estate Games hosted by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
