Washington, DC — Earlier today, Donohoe Construction Company celebrated with a Topping Out luncheon for the Homewood Suites project team members after the placement of the final beams brought the structure to its highest point.
Located at 465 New York Avenue NW, the 95,303 square-foot hotel will include 160 guestrooms in a thirteen-story structure atop three levels of underground parking. Designed by BBG-BBGM and managed by ABI Construction, the hotel will feature in-room high speed internet access, a business center and fitness facilities. Units will range from efficiencies to two bedroom suites with kitchenettes. Also included in the project was the relocation of a 112-year-old historic building.
Construction began in April 2014 and the hotel is expected to open by February 2016.
