Chantilly, VA – Richard Freeman, executive vice president of Stromberg Metal Works Inc., Beltsville, Md., was inducted into the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association’s (SMACNA) prestigious College of Fellows during the association’s 72nd Annual Convention in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Sept. 30.

A member of the SMACNA Mid-Atlantic Chapter, Freeman has been involved in the industry for the past 34 years and entered the industry as an apprentice in 1981.

His enthusiasm for the industry is infectious and was demonstrated through his leadership on the SMACNA National Board of Directors, as well as on many local and national committees, including most notably labor units and change orders.

The award recognizes top industry professionals who have made significant contributions to advance the sheet metal industry, capping years of committed service and dedication.
