{"id":4166,"date":"2012-07-30T20:13:24","date_gmt":"2012-07-30T20:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wbcnet.org\/member_news\/turner-awarded-construction-of-hilton-garden-inn\/"},"modified":"2012-07-30T20:13:24","modified_gmt":"2012-07-30T20:13:24","slug":"turner-awarded-construction-of-hilton-garden-inn","status":"publish","type":"member_news","link":"https:\/\/www.wbcnet.org\/member_news\/turner-awarded-construction-of-hilton-garden-inn\/","title":{"rendered":"Turner Awarded Construction of Hilton Garden Inn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<span style='color: #003e7e'><strong>Turner Construction Company<\/strong><\/span> was recently awarded a contract to build the Hilton Garden Inn &ndash; M Street in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>\t&ldquo;Turner is thrilled to partner with PerStarOTO M Street Partners on this new hotel project in Downtown DC,&rdquo; said Ken Jones, Vice President and General Manager of Turner&rsquo;s Washington, DC office. &ldquo;As a DC contractor, Turner is excited to be a part of this high-visibility project that will inevitably contribute to the already vibrant West End community.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\tThe site is located at 2201 M Street, NW on land formerly occupied by the Nigerian Embassy and a second smaller retail building.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe $30 million hotel will include 238 guestrooms and adopt only some of the standard prototype Hilton Garden Inn brand features in order to best address the 16,480 SF urban location and sophisticated neighborhood in which the hotel will be a part. The Hilton Garden Inn M Street will also contain a restaurant operated by a third party.&nbsp; The restaurant is set to be announced in the latter half of 2012 and constructed under the same contract as the hotel.
