\tThe Foulger-Pratt Companies<\/strong><\/span> have finalized details for development and construction of the first Walmart store to be located in Washington, DC. The new Walmart will be located in Ward 4 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Missouri Avenue in Northwest Washington. The 106,000 square foot retail center will offer a full grocery store as well as general merchandise, parking for 349 cars and a loading dock. <\/p>\n \tDuring design and planning, Foulger-Pratt worked very closely with officials from Walmart and the District of Columbia, including Ward 4 Councilmember Muriel Bowser. Additionally, Foulger-Pratt pledged to provide job opportunities for local businesses, and has already hosted open house events to meet with local Ward 4 business representatives and subcontractors.<\/p>\n \tBryant Foulger, Managing Principal of Foulger-Pratt remarked: “It is exciting to be involved with bringing Walmart into a new area, especially considering their world-wide market reach already established.
