Constructed in 1982, the 12-story, 72,000-square-foot medical facility with in-patient and outpatient units, research spaces and physician offices. This project marks the next phase of the hospital\u2019s East Baltimore medical campus redevelopment, an effort to convert the hospital to all-private rooms. Hord Coplan Macht will serve as the architect of record for the interior renovation. PWI Engineering will serve as the engineer of record for the infrastructure upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>The Meyer renovation will entail updating three levels of the facility\u2019s aging patient and therapeutic units, and converting them from a mix of semi-private and private rooms to all-private rooms. In addition, programmatic, utility and infrastructure deficiencies will be addressed. The first floor public spaces will be renovated and the existing masonry fa\u00e7ade will be cleaned and repaired. Once completed, the renovated floors will offer 46 new private rooms and 18 new rehabilitation rooms. Site mobilization is underway and the project is scheduled for substantial completion in July 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Grunley Mascaro combines the expertise and ethics-based core values of two family-owned general contractors in the pursuit of life sciences projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.<\/p>\n<p><em>Grunley Construction and Mascaro Construction Company, L.P., are both ranked by Engineering News-Record among the &#8216;Top Green Contractors&#8217; and \u201cTop 400 Contractors\u201d in the United States.
