This acquisition will mark Clean Earth\u2019s fifteenth&nbsp;fixed-based location in the United States. This expansion into the New England market will provide<br \/>\nClean Earth the opportunity to geographically expand soil recycling throughout the Northeast with a&nbsp;strong presence in the New England markets.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Dods, Clean Earth President &amp; CEO states, <em>\u201cThe future is exciting for us. Over the past 5 years&nbsp;we have recycled 18.5 million tons of soil alone, and our mission remains the same \u2013 to recycle and&nbsp;reuse waste material that would otherwise go into landfills. The addition of Phoenix Soil supports our&nbsp;plan for smart growth and a sustainable future. We are particularly excited by the addition of Dave&nbsp;Green to our team. Dave founded Phoenix and has built a tight knit team of high performers that&nbsp;will spark new ideas and growth for the entire enterprise.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Phoenix Soil, now a Clean Earth Company, is a state-of-the-art thermal treatment facility processing&nbsp;non-hazardous petroleum-contaminated soils. Phoenix Soil, LLC has operated a low temperature&nbsp;thermal desorption manufacturing facility in Connecticut since 1993 and was the first treatment facility&nbsp;to obtain a Connecticut DEEP Beneficial Use Determination Permit allowing treated soil to be classified&nbsp;as clean fill throughout Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Dave Green, now Chief Science Officer for Clean Earth stated,<em> \u201cI am thrilled to be a part of Clean&nbsp;Earth, for both me and the team I have built over the past 20 plus years. Phoenix has done well&nbsp;because of our people and now as a part of a bigger organization we will be able to project what&nbsp;we have learned across a broader geography and bigger team.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Clean Earth owns and operates fifteen (15) facilities throughout the northeast with treatment platforms&nbsp;that consist of bioremediation, chemical fixation of RCRA hazardous waste, aerosols and consumer&nbsp;commodities, thermal desorption, aggregate production, drill cuttings and pipeline cuttings, and&nbsp;stabilization of dredged material.
