Falls Church, VA – HITT Contracting’s Multifamily team recently launched their Trees for Keys initiative, which aims to plant a tree for every individual unit they complete in a multifamily building. To kick off the project, the team came together on Earth Day with Casey Trees to plant trees along DC’s Suitland Parkway.

Currently the team has 2,050 apartments under construction. In addition to planting trees for these units, the team will also plant trees for all future units turned over. They are working retroactively too, planting 1,219 trees through a partnership with the National Forest Foundation for units previously completed.

Currently the team has 2,050 apartments under construction. They are currently engaged on JBG’s West Half project, Quadrangle’s Lydian at 400 K Street, and PN Hoffman’s 680 Eye Street job.

 # # #

 About HITT Contracting Inc.

One of the top 100 largest general contractors in the nation, HITT Contracting Inc. was founded in 1937 outside of Washington, DC by husband-and-wife team Warren and Myrtle Hitt.
