Lew <\/strong><\/p>\n \tDistrict of Columbia City Administrator<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \tWednesday, November 9, 2011<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \t <\/p>\n \t \t City Administrator Allen Lew reports directly to the Mayor and has direct oversight over all executive-reporting agencies. The City Administrator prepares the District's annual operating budget and provides direction to all agencies to ensure they are meeting the needs of District residents.<\/p>\n \t The Office of the City Administrator (OCA) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the District government, setting operational goals and implementing legislative actions and policy decisions approved by the Mayor and DC Council. Please join us for this informative presentation.<\/p>\n Mayor Vincent Gray created the Department of General Services (DGS) for fiscal year 2012, which began October 1. The huge new agency has a $354 million operating budget and a project portfolio of about $2 billion for the six-year capital budget. The agency will take over the duties of the Department of Real Estate Services, Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization and the Municipal Facilities: Non-Capital agency, as well as construction and real estate management duties from other city agencies.<\/p>\n
